They are potentiometers, Goner. My stick is optical and doesn't use them, so I don't know the cleaning procedure. A search on "Thrustmaster pots" should kick out mulitiple resources, faq's and bb messages.

Goner,

What you need are isopropyl(sp? "rubbing) alcohol and a few clean Q-tips (cotton swabs). There should be some screws on the bottom of your stick that will come out. From there it is a simple matter of being careful and remembering where things came from when you pull, clean and install them again.

Be carefull cleaning the pots.  I'd suggest stopping by www.thrustmaster.com and asking their tech support.  You will be cleaning off some particles, but you will also be cleaning off lubricant.

Yeah I was in a hurry to get to work this morning and left that part out. They have a nice tech help forum for just this matter over there and if you look for a bit you can find all the information you need.
