400,000 vets on motorcycles from across the USA paraded in D.C. the Sunday before Memorial Day, while a solitary, saluting Marine greeted them out on Constitution Avenue. the Marine stood at salute for 3 straight hours, while the parade of roaring bikes kept on coming.... it is held in remembrance of those who've fallen in the military.
This video is on the Marine a lot, watch his struggles with his emotions, and his struggles with holding that salute, the way he salutes is very touching.his head lowered, his eyes down, in reverence for the fallen... It got to be overwhelming for him... and the tears started flowing... watch what he says when he finally breaks, but keeps right on holding that salute

Damn I love the Marines. Quick story....back in 84' Iwas in Boot Camp at MCRD San Diego. I was a company runner. Had to go to the generals building for something and running up the steps right past a full bird colonel without saluting. He called me back and made me hold a salute for a good 30 minutes. Seemed like a life time. My arm was about to fall off.

What this Marine did is simply amazing to me.

we had sad event here in Dallas the other day when a fallen Marine came home. I dare to watch the Video and not shed a tear.

Have any of you seen the movie "Taking Chance"? I only watched the last half of that movie, but I doubt that I could watch all of it without bawling my eyes out. The main character, Lt. Col. Michael Strobl, showed an unwavering sense of duty in escorting Chance back home. Things like that you never forget.

The Marine in the Video is SSgt Tim Chambers, hes been doing this for 6 years now he stood close to 4 hours, the man is inspirational, heres a clip of him expalining why hes doing it, please take the time to listen to him, the guys got a heart of gold <S>
