You're using a Realtek sound card with a set of USB headphones? Judging from the age of your system, the amount of RAM installed and the age of the drivers being reported...install more RAM and update the drivers would be the first step.

Logitech USB Headset

Any sound card without a DSP is asking for trouble with gaming, and making that a USB sound card without a DSP (which is what is built into the USB headsets) is a disaster waiting to happen.

One thing that might mitigate the issue is moving the headset to a different USB port - if it's on a different interrupt, it might clash with something less important than what it's clashing with now (if I had to guess, I'd say it's on the same IRQ as the video- but that's only a guess.)

On the game you MUST have everything tuned down, textures at 128 no graphics goodies nothing. Your computer just makes the minimum requirements.
