V-Base Spawn Points
« on: July 31, 2010, 06:03:24 PM »
Would it be possible to add another spawn or two to the V-Bases?.  That would make hanger camping near impossible and improve game play.

Ive asked for this a few times myself recently.  The campers dont think it fair because they work "so hard" to get their camp site.

I wish we could pick a different hanger to pull out from.  Same goes for fighters and bumbers on the airfields.

If you don't want to spawn out of main hanger at a vbase I believe the dot command is .fly7 and it will take you to a different hanger.

Now don't quote me on it but I think that is the right command.

that was an option long ago for planes but has been removed to my understanding.

Could be a terrain issue where it will work on one terrain but won't work on most.

I just tried it in mesaview, there were 2 other spawns besides hanger.
.fly 1 and .fly 2 worked for those. But all other .fly # put me in the same spot in the hanger.

With the new lay outs on V-bases is it still that much of an issue?

Certainly much easier now with the 17lbers to break a spawn. Assuming that all the manned guns are not all down.

It is too bad that each and every open of the spawn "boxes" isnt full of a spawn option.  If there is not a base nearby to spawn into, then allow that un-used button to be a spawn point just off the field.

That would help with the "create opportunities for combat" theory.  Much the same as the 65ft radar deck and 20 mile range of the dar ring, eh?
