The only problem I have had was with the black screen issue. The 480 (and other HDMI cards) includes an audio side and in the case of the 480 it loads up four instances of "High Definition Audio Device" in the 'Sound, video and game controllers' section of Device Manager for each core. In my case I had twelve instances on one machine and eight on all the others. I already had two audio devices (X-Fi Titanium and HTO Striker) and the Nvidia device does not play well with other devices (particularly Realtek).
If you want to use HDMI audio you dont want the other audio devices or so I have been told but in my case I didnt want the HDMI audio so I disabled them all. I believe when Nvidia releases a driver like this and it takes Evga and the others a little while to get updated that the Nvidia drivers ARE Betas in concept if not reality. I prefer drivers from the manufacturer. This release from Nvidia has proven to be very reliable for me to this point for AH RoF WoP OFF and FSX.
EDIT: Of course if you are using an older card and you install an updated driver like this you can see how anything might happen.
