A nice old lady I work with needs a computer, but could never afford one. I offered her my old rig for $50 and I saw her eyes light up like a Christmas tree. Unfortunately this was a year ago and she still has not managed to come up with the money, and since then I've found an important use for my old puter. So I'm wondering if there's anyone out there that has an old laptop that's just collecting dust for no reason and wouldn't mind to part with it for $50 plus shipping.
It doesn't have to be anything fancy, all it has to do is run XP professional 32 bit. I have an XP pro disc ready and it's the best thing I can help her with since its what I use, so no need for the laptop to have an OS on board, it will just be wiped with a fresh install.
I know this is a long shot but the alternative is for me to save up for another couple years to buy her a new one. I did make her a promise, and I'll be damned if I don't make good on it one way or another.
