Better Buy?
« on: September 29, 2010, 12:48:41 AM »
My apologies for posting this twice, I posted this in the O'club to on accident, but I figured it be better posted in here.

Needed a laptop for school, and this is right around the top of my budget. Wanted to be able to do some gaming on it if I was to ever go out of town etc etc

So good buy? Say buy it?

or is it worth a little more to get his?

Which one is the better buy, hell is either one a good buy?

ASUS K72 Series K72JK-X1 i think is the better buy .. bigger harddrive (500 vs 320) better ghz per core processor (i5 2.4ghz vs C2Q 2.0ghz) even though its a Quad unless your doing video or something simular the proformance isnt gonna be as good per single core apps  and simular graphics ATI 5145 vs Nvidia240M but the ATI is better

The GeForce GT 240M is the successor of the GT 130M / 9600M and has now 48 instead of 32 shader cores. Therefore, the performance should be noticeable better. Because of the 40nm process, the TDP is still 23 Watt.
 550 MHz, 48 - unified, DX10.1 |  800 MHz, 128 Bit

ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5145

The 5145 is a renamed Mobility Radeon HD 4570 with slightly higher clock rates. Therefore it has no DirectX 11 support and a performance between the 4570 and 5470.
