« on: November 03, 2010, 10:25:46 AM »
If you hit the x52 Joystick on Table wires can be fall between the Proximity contact x an y and youre axes cant be Calibrated and move in game to slow ore wrong.

The Proxy Contacts looks like a Transistor with 4 contacs,2 Metallplates are on both sides when you move y-axe forw. and back 1 plate go away from Proxy the other goes to the Proxy.

I had same problem and searched the Windows way...Driver...Programm....ne ver ending forums till a screwdriver falls in my hands

you can open stick easy with the 4 screws on Bottom side,DONT TOUCH METALLPLATES ORE PROXY!

Good luck

There's a pretty easy fix that modifies the magnet location slightly.  Takes about 10 minutes and a little superglue.  I have mine and one of my squaddies' X52 set up this way and neither of us has had any issues since.

Instructions with pics are here.  www.mektek.net/forums/index.php?showtopic=139226
Good Luck!

EDIT:  If you do this and one of the axis is reversed, just flip the magnet over as it is installed with the incorrect polarity facing the sensor.  You want to check this BEFORE supergluing the magnet in place.  For your initial test, I'd use double sided tape to secure the magnets.
