I'll never forget Dandy Don with Howard Cosell on Monday Night Football. It was always funny when he would start singing, lol.
Sometimes it was "Turn out the lights, the party's over". Other times who knows, lol. I think he was drunk half the time.

I always liked him.  I missed him as a QB, I only first remember Staubach, but I always liked him on anything I saw him on or in.  He was great in that King of the Hill episode a few years ago.

I remember Meredith in his final years with the Cowboys when he took them to the NFC championship 2 years in a row. I got to hear some great stories today from teammates like Bob Lilly. The infamous airplane crash story was verified where Meredith was the only one not in a panic. He was drinking whisky telling everyone it was a helluva ride.

My favorite Dandy Don story was from the first season of MNF. During a freezing game at The Vet, the Eagles owner sent up a smorgasbord of liquor to the booth. Cosel and Meredith proceeded to get s##%faced on-air and accidentally set Keith Jackson's pants on fire.

Party on DD.
