2nd monitor

i thought i read somewhere that you can use a 2nd monitor to set up a back view or use it for just the map or whatever...cant seem to make it work though...little help?

ok then........i can make it work when i'm on the web but not on the game ...is it impossible or not allowed or what? at least someone tell me to shut up or something.

I don't think DirectX (which is what the game is coded to) has any support for more than a single screen.  You'd need a device like TripleHead to make your multiple displays look like a single monitor to the computer.

I don't think you're getting much response because it's a holiday weekend.

Some sims allow that but AH isn't coded for it. You could probably load the clipboard maps into a viewer on a second monitor but nothing live from the game.

I use the second monitor for skype, ventrillo, and in FSO to put map up so I can see at a glance what we are doing.

IMO its pretty handy and I found I missed it at AH con when I had to do without it for 6 days.

yeah, purchasing HTC and recoding the game ...

Na just think about it a sec, you will get it, & if you do get it, dont post it...I have tested it for gauges but cant afford the investment ATM.
I would hate for ppl to use it as a rear view though ...I think it would yield an unfair advantage but it is truly unstoppable and its not a hack! thus the reason I dont post on how to do it

nope its not an exploit and HTC knows all about it   it is real obvious just think about it for a sec. but dont post it when you figure it out!

Its not an exploit,  and I have no doubt that HTC would love for every pilot to utilize this!...IMHO posting it will turn it into an exploit for those who don't live by a code of conduct and simply dont care about keeping the playing field level. I'm sure some pilots use it already! My use of it when I can afford it will be for gauges not a 6 view! I'm all about immersion and developing my skill as a fighter pilot. IMHO The game would STINK if I didn't have to learn to fly and earn my skill...not all pilots care about having honor, just stats.
