States require concealed carry permits. I'm not talking concealing a weapon, I'm talking carrying one.
According to the constitution, all citizens have a right to bear arms.
There is no federal law that says "one must be in officially sanctioned law enforcement to carry a weapon."
Without getting into a political debate, by simply being a citizen, you have a right to carry a weapon. The trick is not breaking any laws while doing so.
