I could not find any information on the skins forum on the 109T being skinned & substituted for an E model.

Would that be acceptable to do?
Thoughts on that as I found this particular aircraft.

Nope. The T-1 was definitely different and flew very different. The T-2 in limited numbers was much more like the E-7N or E-7Z. It doesn't fit the E-4 we have in-game.

Spoiler wasn't leading edge. That's the slots. The spoilers were on top of the wing to aid in carrier landings. Seeing as the small number of long-wing 109Ts that saw service had most of the naval gear removed, I imagine these spoilers were removed as well.

minor correction: its "slats" not "slots".

I think slots is correct... as they do not droop so much as extend straight forward. Slats are like leading-edge flaps, no?

A slot has a gap between it and the main wing. See the wings of a Storch. A slat extends forward while maintaining contact with the wing over its entire length. See Bf109.

A slat extends surface area, thus changing how the airflow acts around the surface and delaying stall. A SLOT specifically channels airflow from beneath the wing to above the wing, increasing airflow above wing and delaying negative stall handling. That's not to say all slats must be airtight, but their main benefit is changing the incidence of the leading edge so that you create more lift. Slots don't do that.

The way Messerschmitt leading edge panels work is to specifically channel air. They do not droop much (an inch or two) but they extend well forward of the wing to create this channel.

To me that's much more of a slot, than a slat.

And should HTC ever decide to update the 109E and add the E7, I'll change my name to Von Corky and fly Luftwaffe!

I would love HTC to add a "trop filter" to the hangar, as well! Simply cosmetic, I think the E-4, E-7, F-4, and G-2 look best with the sand filter on the supercharger intake! Especially the square ones on the E's!
