Another mouse bug?
« on: May 12, 2011, 06:33:34 AM »
I was flying in the DA last night and brought up the radio to remove my AFK and the pointer just up and disappeared upon clicking the AFK box.  I pressed the H key and also hit enter to bring the pointer back and no ahh ahh. I couldn't even type in the radio box. Luckily the vox worked and a squaddie said bring up the clip board and this brought the pointer back.
I also had this happen when I was trying to accept a "join" and again the pointer disappeared and I couldn't get the pop up invite off the screen. I had to ditch and start over. I did not think of bringing up the clip board at that time since the "join" incident was my first experience of the pointer goofiness after the patch.

 NOTE:  The mouse cursor will only appear and function when the clipboard is active or when the radio bar is open.
only a moron would use Dolby positioning in a game.

Correct but there is a bug that requires you to open the clipboard map and the radio if you want to click to change any radio settings.

The work around is to open map, then radio, this way you wont lose the cursor and will be able to uncheck "AFK" and or change a radio channel.

The same problem when trying to save recorded films, if you miss clicking on one of the two buttons, the mouse dissapears and you need to bring up the clipboard. When you miss clicking to pick a channel in the radio or text box after bringing it up, exact same problem.

So, mouse needs to stay up when pop up stays up because there is no exception handling in these cases.
