really need help with this.... game is dropping down to 15 fps and getting close to unplayable. i have all anti aliasing turned as low as it can go or off... everything in my grafix card is set to max performance and ive been forced to run the game without detail now and the frame rate still drops to as low as 10fps just flying over a destroyed base.

Sounds like you might have some active processes chewing up CPU time, running in the background.

What is the exact model of the video card?

Bring up the task manager and select the "Processes" tab and see how many are running, along with the CPU time being used, with nothing open on the desktop.  What the percentage used for a minute or two.  It should rarely go to 1, maybe 2%, but mostly stay at 0.

when using the task manager and viewing the processes it stays at 0-2%

my video card is a radeon HD4650 1gig.

this just started with the new version. i dunno what changed but i was able to run detailed terrain and water and never drop below 30 frames per second. since the gv controls changed it dropped.... not sure why that would happen but everything got really bad with this most recent patch... i cant get above 30 frames per second.     i dont get it... ive done everything i can and it just doesnt make sense. theres no logical reason unless something changed in the programming.   but a month ago i could be in a huge furbal with a desimated base below and not have any issues
