some LVT stuff
« on: June 28, 2011, 05:08:55 PM »
wish 1: as of right now you can not stop the LVT in the water after you have moved it will slowly at a 2mph go for ever even with Eng off the shift s just puts it in N and not R to slow the LVT (note: the PT boat dose this. if you are going at top speed and hit shift s it puts it in R then back to N when the PT boat has stopped LVTS do not do this in water)
so this i wish is: when you press shift s it will put the LVT in R then back to N when it has stopped like the PT. it will only do this in water

wish 2: LVTs can not come on beach at a angle or they will get stuck and u must end sortie. please fix

wish 3: Higgins boats!  yes the Higgins boat this has been talked about before but nobody knows of a way they will work. this is how.

a boat loaded with 20 troops is launched from a CV close to shore the boat will spawn in the water then the driver of the boat (you) goes to the coast line
the troops in these boats will be diffrent from the ones in the goon and M3 the Higgins boats troops will run for a longer distance than the c47/M3 troops. so if there is a base with in say 4 miles of the coast the Higgins boat will ride on shore (or really close to it) then drop its 20 troops. why 20 troops well here is why. a attacker must take down town right so then base deffenders will be looking for something carrying troops to kill so they save there base. 10 troops would get killed VERY easy but 20 would be a little harder
so the only reason i say 20 troops is because they will run a longer distance and will be easier to kill.

that's all.

How about some LST's that can hold up to say 3-4 GV's?
Surrounded by suck and underwhelmed with mediocrity.
I'm always right, it just takes some poepl longer to come to that realization than others.

There are times when your LVT will get hung up when water turns to solid ground.  I've not ever had to tower out due to getting hung up, but I have had to steer left and right to work my way up and take quite a bit of time (1-2 min) sometimes just to climb out of the water.  This only came about since HTC introduced the auto trans.  I dont know if it has anything to do with the amount of step the LVT has to take to get up on to dry land, but the auto trans has trouble adjusting.

or maybe just have that as a loadout option?

EDIT: and on second thought, would the GVs in question be AI, like the troops? or if you had someone join your LVT/whatever, as a gunner, would they then become tank drivers?
