Offline Drone Damage
« on: July 25, 2011, 12:31:21 AM »
Just wondering if damage effects the offline drone aircraft, the same way as it does to the plane that we're flying.
The Zero in the picture below flew for over 20 minutes with three fuel leaks.  It was flying for about 10 minutes, before
taking damage to it's tanks.  Seems to me that it should of ran out of fuel, but I've never had a chance to see how far a
Zero would go with three fuel leaks.  Usually I'm a lit candle...

Just the drones that fly around in a circle?

Ever shot one of their wings off?

The ones that fly in a circle are something else.   :lol
I do mean the drones used in offline missions though.  This image was taken while flying the USA vs Japan mission.  I was in a P47-M and had shot the Zero's fuel tanks.

i think bbosen would have a good answer for that but i can guess by playing offline missions that since the AI seems to force itself to a death after certain hits (like when you hit the cockpit or sometimes even randomly in the tail they just spin to the ground) the damages like oil and fuel leak wont matter looks like they decide what kills them and what doesnt. just a guess
