Russian 280mm mobIle gun and German 60cm mobIle
« on: August 01, 2011, 07:25:52 PM »
The 280mm mobile gun the Russians had and the Karl morser's 60cm guns the Germans used would be sweet Mobile artillery pieces to perk and kill anything with. Also both had very short range less then 7000m

Why the heck didn't you come out to Alphabet City last week?   :D

How about we start with wishing for howitzers?  Then work our way up to the big boys.

+1 for adding to the ground war.

Was just thinking, you could have a Deuce and a Half which you drive around to say the top of the hill, when you "jetson" the gun - its free to move like a 17 lb gun except it has no bunker or what not, nor optics but you do have a range finder for distance and whatever a normal load carries of ammo.

Only problem is once its deployed I dont think you can pack it up or shouldn't be able too. Nice wish though  :)

well i wanted to stay in short range artillery that was built to a vehicle. and a u.s. 105 in lame, now a u.s. 155 (the m40 mobile gun) would be sweet. but still its a very long range. if u cant see the boom its lame, that is also the issue with 8in on ca people dont start shelling bases until the cv group is rather close. so i dont think long range artillery would be anything more then a hanger queen.
