Really?  There's a high resolution ground and water texture pack?  The hires texture pack is not just plane skins?

This is what I was talking about, they beat me to it. You also have the same thing with water that you enable separately.

it will look like this

This is AHII on hi-res texture. I think it looks nice.

no not like that, like ones that ONLY YOU see, not changes in structer, but changes in the way the ground looks...., but rember ONLY YOU CAN SEE THEM, much like coustom sounds only YOU hear them

What a confusing mess that would be............

Even if stuff had to be approved so you couldn't get hot pink goons as an example, it would still be easy to exploit if it were mix and match.  Suppose for example you could turn the ground into a set of winter textures, but could keep your skins dark.  Stuff like that.

Not worth the headaches IMO.

I think you all are confusing hi-res plane/vehicle textures to the game environment settings of detailed water, bump mapping, etc. for the ground and water.  I run the hi-res texture pack, but can make the environment look great or crap just by changing settings.

I forgot about the bump terrain feature.

Thanks for taking the pictures, you did a much better job than me.

We had the same graphics for 10 years, I don't see HTC making new ones after a year.

They might...  With the new focus on ground war, it would make a fair bit of sense to make it look good from close up as well as in the air.

I hope your right, but I don't see it happening.

This is not accurate.

We have updated the AH graphics multiple times.
