That is wrong.  This stick uses Hall Effect sensors and not potentiometers for the stick's X/Y axes (which is the elevator and aileron axes).  I'm not saying that a bad wire or connection can't be the fault but a defective hall effect sensor is highly unlikely.

 I was going to say that but you took care of it for me!   Now a hall effect sensor might not go bad but the magnet could have moved and would cause this issue.

  Not sure if Draggon fixed this or not but if it was me I'd do the mag mod and see if that solves the problem!

So I read up a little on hall effect sensors, I had thought they had something to do with the force feedback stuff. oops
As far as them not going bad however, I have seen posts here/elsewhere where the axis's are failing. So something is wearing out? Maybe the moving part is getting gumed up so as not to travel its full distance, or its center is changed because something stops the proper return motion. Maybe theres somekind of carbon buildup that interferes with proper circuit path? Maybe a ground issue.??
