Stripping Vox/Text from Film Viewer
« on: October 31, 2011, 08:21:58 PM »
I know it's supposed to do it. I've never had to until now. I try marking the start and end, select Edit Vox/Text and select to remove vox. It whips through the file and says editing complete. The file remains unchanged, with the same size and timestamp - and the vox is still there.

I'm trying to work on a movie from FSO and the film is 16.8 Mb in size. Is there a size limit?

I've had a similar bug/issue before.  You could perhaps go in game and turn off all the sounds you do not wish to hear in that particular clip, go back and run again.  It is a hassle but that should work.

Yeah, last resort...I'd still see the PlayerID pop up in the corner when they key their mics.  :frown:

Works for me. Maybe try saving the file?
If you like the Sick Puppy Custom Sound Pack the please consider contributing for future updates by sending a months dues to Hitech Creations for account "Chalenge." Every little bit helps.

I got it to work. After you mark the start and end times for the section (or whole film), you must use the copy button next to the other section marking buttons. Then you can save the marked section as a new filename and all it good.

Only issue with saving a section, it that the bug with CV position/direction is made worse. Case in point, from my plane a CV group is steaming the wrong way, but at least was where it was supposed to be. After copying a 10-minute section from a 1+ hour film to make setting up attack shots easier, that CV from my plane is now over a mile away but the ack is still firing from where the CV was supposed to be.  :bhead

Here's a quick split-screen movie showing the issue. I can provide the ahf files too, but the original one is 16MB - so I figure this short movie will suffice for now.
