It depends on what school you go to. If you are doing it through a Part 141 school, its only 35 required. If you are doing it Part 61, the hours jumps up to 50 i believe.

It's been a while but I'm pretty sure part 61 is 40.  :headscratch:

But what ever, none of us have a reason to care about it.  :bolt:

Sounds like you're having a blast! Approaches are fun, they were my favorite part of IFR training. Have you done any approaches in actual yet? Those are great, and way different than the hood.

It's 40 hours part 61 for PP, and 250 for comm. You also need to have 50 PIC cross country for IFR (although I'm not sure thats part 61 specific)

Yes the 50 cc is part 61 specific and just to clarify it 250 total not 250 torwards comm training.

And yes, I did 2 localizers, 2 vors and 1 ils in actual that day.

Monday I have 3 blocks total and will be Doin the same approaches and then will shoot a couple ils approaches down at pittsburgh intl.

How do you do that? Don't you need 40 to get your PPL?

If you're not cheating, you're not trying.
