A 80GB (might get away with 60GB) is dirt cheap, too.

With a new mobo you need to do a new install, but you don't have to format. You have to reinstall all your programs so the registry entries and public shared files and all that stuff but your private files should remain intact. It can be a bit of a pain though.

I see. But, so far, Spike's quad core is running fine on my PC. Saw some improvements in most of my games. Crysis 1 + 2, AH, Battlefield 3, Arma 2, Rise of Flight. Suprisingly, Skyrim hasn't changed one bit, still hovering around 30-40FPS in outdoor areas with ultra settings (no AA).

  the game is concentrated on combat, not on shaking the screen.
