Yesterday I upped a Panther for the first time. I clipped a small tree while going about 2 mph and the tank did a roll over and that was that for 15 perks.

What in Hell was that about?  :headscratch:

Don't clip trees or hills - you roll every time. Hit a small hill doing any kind of speed you are bound to flip. You have to drive straight over it without turning or on any angle to the hill.

I would have to disagree, depending on the sensativity.

I always used a joystick, but then set a bit of deadband to keep it from drifting around.

Problem is deadband does nothing when the joystick is uncalibrated - unless you have a thrustmaster warthog that doesn't need calibrating, deadband on an uncalibrated joystick can cause it to bounce.
Twisty sticks are far worse, as if the twisty part gets loose, it causes your tank to move in circles - most don't know to disable the "rudder" part - and use a keyboard - you can still use a stick, just not the twisty part

Nothing can beat the sensitivity of the mouse, which is why lowering it to 1.3 gives a tanker accurate shots even up to 4k yards with ease, joystick can't do this.

I've always used my sietek co trols for tanking twist to turn I have all the movements programmed to either the throttle or stick, I tried the mouse for a bit but like it much better with my stick controls
At first I didn't like the automatic trans. Either but have gotten used to it , as far as climbing goes, I can't seem to climb as steep a hill as I used to but in reality those tanks
Wouldn't have climbed them Anyway!
For me, the new setup works better but it wasn't any fun re learning the controls, for new players that never new the old system it makes no difference and I doubt they would like the old way if it was switched back,
Adapt, overcome and move on!! As far as your tank moving while trying to fire, shut of your engine to stop and you won't have that problem!
Flying since tour 71.
