Sound Adjustments
« on: July 21, 2012, 11:42:56 AM »
I am trying to lower the background noise when someone is transmittin on voice however, whenever I lower the playback effects and record effects volume it does not change anything.  Could someone please help me with these settings and a possible reason they do not take affect when adjusted.
Thanks

Sounds like you are adjusting the correct settings.

Record =Your transmission.
Playback Effects=Transmit from others.

That's what I thought but the settings are not taking effect.  Do I need to quit the game and log back in for them to stay adjusted??

Make sure all the sound devices are set correctly in the "Options->Presferences->Game Sounds" panel.

The game uses the Windows controls for the audio adjustments.  If you make the same adjustments in the Windows sound control panel, it will be reflected in the game, if the devices are set correctly.

This also means any external software changing those Windows sound settings will also change the game settings.
