Crashing?
« on: August 28, 2012, 10:20:54 PM »
I was able to make Crabby's missions out of New Britain work the first couple times. But since then, they crash and lock up my computer. Is there anything I can do about that?

You are not being specific in what you are doing when the crashes take place...

But I will assume the following...

When you run the mission IN THE EDITOR all the way to the end where the AI's tower out, the program WILL instantly crash. It is an existing bug that has been known for a long time.

There is no fixing it, just remember it when you are testing it.

Sorry I wasn't specific enough. I was not using the editor in this case. I was using:
Offline Practice, Staged Missions, Select MIssions, Missions on newbrit
I usually pick 190s Small against enemy Mosquitos Large. I fly a long time down to the area where merges seem to happen. Now (not in the beginning) when I first see the enemy flight or shortly thereafter, my pc locks up and I am done. I have to pull up the task manager. At that point the message I get is: "aceshigh.exe has stopped working" I can close that message and usually aceshigh will close and I am back to the windows screen with just the Task Manager window open.
Thanks!

You were fiddling around with one of my missions offline...

In that case, my missions never work offline pretty much only meant for online 8)

Ok, how to I pull it over in the Custom Arena so I can use it there? Or am I not suppose to do that either? I just have a lot of time during the day to do stuff this week so wanted to take advantage by shooting up some bots. If I go into the LWA I'll just be dead again and very frustrated again.

THE MAGIC OF STAGED MISSIONS...

1) Open a custom arena with the appropriate terrain
2) Go to "Staged Missions" - highlight and load a mission
3) Go to "Populate Mission" assign yourself or your friends to a plane
4) Go to "Start Mission" give it a yes

then go kill some stuff...
