anyone have solar panels at home?  who set them up?  how long have you had them?  any problems? 

I'm looking into getting a stand alone system and looking for recommendations on a legit company to have come out to price me a system with

Bought 3 x 90watt kits.. Nice metal framed units.. Easy to set up and link them..
Just a nuts and bolts kind of thing.. Need to get more, but so much stuff
to do, before things get really bad.. And don't forget battery maintenance supps!

As the dollar declines, Price is going up on them.. Sooner is better than later!

There is calculators on the net for solar cost/payback. I have been looking at them. I am not sure how accurate they are. Google some phrases, solar cost calculator, etc.

A guy I knew around here was on full set up and the power company paid him for excess he generated.

Rules vary from state to state on that. In Texas you buy at retail, but sell back at wholesale. But if you are on a Co-Op supply, they are not required to buy any of your excess.
In other states, your meter simply turns backwards when you feed the grid.
