What happened to all the good games and consoles? It seems that 2004, 2005 and 2006 were some of the best years for games/consoles. The PS2, Xbox, Gamecube and the games that went with them were legendary. NFSU2 and Zelda: The Legend of The Windwaker were the two best games for PS/Xbox/Gamecube. Now these days it seems that the only games coming out that make it big are those that make your IQ drop about 40 points, EX: Call of Duty and leaning towards this, Battlefield. Other games like Homefront, Skyrim, Fallout 3 and New Vegas were pretty good but New Vegas had a story line that looked like it got eaten by a cat, crapped out, gobbled up by a dog then puked up into a sewer. Sure, getting shot in the head and then miraculously surviving because some strange robot dug you out of the ground is cool, but Fallout 3 had a great story line that was much better. Not to mention the guy who voiced your dad is Liam Neeson. Yes. Its true. In Fallout 3 you are Liam Neeson's kid. But with Call of Duty and Battlefield, you're getting less and less of new content, and more and more of the same thing yet everyone wets themselves like an over-excited dog.
Call of Duty is just repetitive nonsense, MW1, MW2, MW3, and probably MW4,5,6,7,8,9,10 ect... all the way up to 20 until we finally nuke Russia because the US is too good for the rest of the world. Battlefield is pretty much the same, except I think it'll end at Battlefield 4. Every time we get a new Battlefield or CoD game we're fighting the Russians. At least the developers of Fallout, Homefront and those of the like decided not to go mainstream like all the other lemmings. If you ask me, nobody in the game-making industry has the mind to make a good story line for a game anymore. All they want is money and try to brainwash the little kids/20 year old fat guys who sit on their butts and play CoD all day so they can get even more cash out of them when the next game comes out/DLC is available.
Oh well. Rant over.
