I personally don't care how much it's worth. I'd just like to have it restored and drive it around because its not something commonly seen on the streets.

When was the last time you saw a '68 Impala going down the road?

A wreck a few days ago with an older model "tank". The driver had to be extricated and flown to a trauma center. The people she hit walked away uninjured.
Old cars are cool, but don't overestimate steel for technology in a wreck.

Low speed accidents, the older cars won't sustain as much/any damage, but high speed accidents I'd definitely rather be in something modern.

What kind of car or truck did he hit?

My buddys custom shop i work @ has 2 of em in his shop right now. Both were in way worse condition than that one but now they are looking very nice. well except for the 26" wheels and lift on one. The other is all black with 24" wheels but no lift. Actually doesnt look that bad.

Late model F150.

Late model F150 in anything other than base trim is around 5700 pounds with the harley davidson model being over 6000 pounds.......which is more than a base model F250.

The dodge in that picture weighs from 2850 pounds for the slant six model to around 3100 for a higher trim V8 model.

Sure, the dodge lacks many of the features that make cars safe now but this is a bad comparison.
