Arlo,

I agree, but it also helps knowing you are supposed to CREATE the orders.  I didn't know that until Tuesday of this week.  This is apparently due to our squad dynamics at the moment, not the FSO CM team.  None the less, I'm doing the best I can for not knowing what the hell I'm doing.

No offense?  Well, if I knew to look at it I would have.  The guys who were in command of our squad have quit showing up for various reasons.  I was included in the list to get orders so somebody could pass along the info to those in our squad who bother to show up.  I never intended to be an acting CO let alone a CIC.  Never knew what they did, what they were supposed to do, where they were supposed to go, what secret handshakes are involved, etc.

So, having said that, cut me some slack.  This was dumped on me and I'm trying the best I can instead of flipping you guys off and saying screw this.  If that's not good enough, sorry.

Ease up on the defensiveness and litany of excuses. I gave you a ready source that's easy to find. Nobody can control your use of or access to it but you (it's nothing like a 'secret handshake'). If you don't want the responsibility (and it is one) there were others who volunteered to take this weight off your shoulders. If you feel put upon and truly have a part of you ready to flip off and corner-pout, you probably should. Other player's fun and immersion falls on you.

Gloves,

Don't sweat it. It's not the first time mis-communication and "newb-ness" created the perfect storm - and it certainly won't be the last time either. We've all been in it or near it at one time or another.

Everyone else,

Chillax, orders are out - good or bad it's now up to us to adapt and execute...hmmmm, kinda like real life huh? I believe there have been occasions where they didn't show up until late Thursday or even Friday.

Arlo,

I really hate the black & white of boards.  This is getting blown out of proportion.  If I am at fault for that, I apologize.  Things are being interpretted into meanings that I'm not trying to say.  I doubt there's much else to communicate, but if so, I'll be glad to provide a phone number so we can talk through any thoughts instead firing back and forth on the boards.  I think we'd both find the other to be somewhat reasonable.

I will say this though.  Lack of knowledge may be an excuse, but it is also a fact.  Once I learned what I was supposed to do, I started making an effort to do so.  That's all I have to say.
