I down loaded it from HTC downloads.  C47 cockpit is how I usually check if it's installed.  Doesn't look right.  Video settings are 1024.

It appears to install correctly but the cockpit texture doesn't appear right?

Yes, Pyro.  Hires says it installs VERY quickly.  However, C47's switches descriptions are a tad blurry unlike the crystal clarity I'm used to using hires.

In your Aces High folder there will be a file called hirestex.res.  Can you right click on it and open up the properties and tell me the file date?

Was created and modified April 11, 2013.  I had downloaded from the downloads section on HTC main page.

In the same file properties, how many bytes does it show the file to be?

It looks like it's installed correctly.  Can you verify what your max texture size is set to in your video settings?

Can you set your max texture size to 2048 and see if you notice a difference?

That did it  :aok  That's the clarity I'm used to with hi-res.  Thanks, Pyro!!

Fwiw, vast improvement over what I saw on my end using 1024 where the resolution was poor enough to make the writing next to the goon switches unreadable.
