Do you mean the original first season(1963), there were 26 seasons in the original run then it was cancelled in 1989.
I used to enjoy the show when I was growing up in the 60's but never really got into it when it came back in 2005,
my son is a big follower of this new style show and I tried watching it but it never kept my attention for long.
the first doctor i saw was tom baker. i still think he was the best, but david tennent came awful close to bettering him.
