How I would love to be able to introduce myself as a 'Spitfire pilot'. Apparently you can, they offer a conversion course on that Spit. Guess I better start saving. The Irish Air Corps, see my avatar, operated two seat Spitfires and most of the two seat survivors came from that source. But not that particular one as it happens.

Flying a Spit is definitely on my bucket list.

Of course not.

Just something that would be nice to have in the video, letting people know the Spit was running at ~50% power in the race while the car was doing the best the driver could get out of it.
