I shot down a Yak last night in the area of A59 while gunning for a squadmate in a Ju88. I never got the kill message but he was seen with an entire wing falling off and on fire after I hit the plane. Trouble is that my plane driver had decided to bail out before letting me know.  :D

I have had a few sorties in the MA whear I have had multiple kills in a JU 88, my recored is like 5 kills in one sortie, this happened a while ago. Your best bet is the ventral gun. I realy like flying the JU 88 it handels so well and those dive brakes let you do some manouavers that would rip a B 26 apart.

My best sortie in the Ju88 was 4 fighters, an Fw190, La-7 and 2 N1K2s.  2nd N1K2 got me too though.

Last time I flew a Ju88 I got 3 kills and landed it.

last night in the ct AG and I upped 2 ju88s
to bomb 52. With the main so crowded lately I haven't had a chance to fly one in the main in a long time.

Well any we leveled the town and vh and reschke was ib with a goon.

Well a la5fn upped and Reschke kept him at bay while I had a chance to get on his 6 and ping him a bunch then as he extended away from me to kill our troops that were in the air Ag dove on him rippin him and getting the kill.

i had thot the la5 had killed a troop but nope we got the capture.

Brady remember in the baltic map at v11 I was in a c47 and a zeke had spotted me and I turn fought him fer 5 min till you got there in a typhie and killed him? I had flown from a9 around the nme fleet and under the nme fighters uppin off the cv and a12 to defend the port  :) was great fun.

Or the time when the ute map 1st came out u and I upped ju88s to kill a base but nme were ib so we had to run around a bit to avoid umm. Well when we got to the base we were lo and lo on gas. after you got the vh you were killed by ack and joined my ju88 as I was tryin to get ack. I ran out of fuel at 7k and kept doin vert manuvers to keep up speed? I killed all the ack that way.

Ah the good 'ole days  :)

Ju88 can give you fits if you doin't set up the attack right.  Was on last night and noted some contacts around our refinery south of the "pocket."  I upped in an La5 and went hunting.  I spotted two low cons and put the nose down to catch them.  One turned out to be a wounded Ju88. The other climbed and worked it's way behind me.  I got impatient and made my first approach too fast and steep and over shot the Ju.  Did the same thing the second pass, as the Ju88 was manuevering on the deck.  I got icon on the 109 that was the other contact, coming in hot on my six, so I was forced to break off and engage the 109.  Pinged the 109 good, causing black engine smoke, and as I tried to stay on his tail, that darned Ju88 was trying to saddle up on my six to help his "escort" out (just who was escorting who, I wonder  :)).  Finally, the 109 went in and I extended to try to get back on the Ju88.  He choose the better part of valor and broke off for his base, which we had slowly been drifting towards.  I was low on gas (short legs, that La5), so wisely decided not to press the issue...that and the Ju88 was comfortably in his own ack field by then.

Nice fight.  I don't have much luck defending myself in the Ju88, but this guy was making maximum use of it's dubious strengths.  Salute!

For guys that fly the ju88 they have learned that relying on your guns to save you will get you killed.

You actually have to fly it to avoid getting killed.......its never very successful even then but its a lot of fun.

S!

JU88 will be even more potent when it`s matched up against fighters with only .303`s....   :D
