salute messages when not tuned to ch200
« on: October 05, 2013, 07:59:53 PM »
I know many virtual pilots out there detune ch200, but want to see the salutes to himself, as a polite gesture, so you can respond with the same courtesy,  or see it coming back to you as you saluted a good fight.

Does it require much coding to implement or any other reason not to implement it ?

I'll give it a +1. Most of my "<S>" go over 200.

Lusche, so if they use .s .rs it works, but typing out the <S> don't ?

I have not seen any explanation of the behaviour.

One is a dot command, the other is a typed message on a channel.

I tune to ch200 on those looong boring flights where I am looking for strat runners or something of the like.  But, if I kill someone or get killed I simply .p <playername>

Otherwise if they 'beat me to the punch' so-to-speak and ".s" me. Then I .rs them back.

While I understand where you are coming from. I don't think HTC can incorporate yet another way of saluting someone.
