Posting Pictures

Whenever you are to post pictures on the forum, I was wondering how people get the images to show directly in the post. The last time I tried this I copied and pasted the URL of my pictures and put them in the message body, thinking that the images would show up when i posted. All it did was show the actual URL and not the images. So how do I get the images to show w/o something like my last post happening over again?

Btw, the last website I used was www.imgur.com

you need some where to host from then copy the image code from
I use photobucket

I use photobucket to upload my pics to, then I go to the pic and "copy direct link"  then come back to here click on the "insert image" and paste the link there

there are other photo sharing sites, but this is the one I use.  Hope this helps
