It opens the last one loaded. If you are starting from scratch and there isn't a last one loaded, I don't know how to get it to work

Would that count also with the last mission that I ran in a offline mission?

I seem to recall I may have opened it once before briefly and started a mission but don't think I ever finished it, or really went that far with it in the first place how would I get rid of that to reset the application.  I don't have anything saved in any of the mission folders they are all empty...

No, it needs to be an .mis file not a .res file

Your .mis files would likely be in either your offmiss or you mistemp folders, I'm not sure what happens if you have none of these and you are starting from scratch but I know that if I were to move the last .mis I was working on to another directory, the ME will crash til I move it back to where it was. Once I have a mission open I can start a new one but without having one to open yeah it crashes.

I think someone here, maybe Krabby had a work around.

Workaround: Go into your "settings" folder and delete the file named "AHEDMISS.cfg"
