Try PcLinuxOS and use their standard repository to install their current version of Wine. I've had great luck with it on eight of my PCs, all of which are running various versions of Aces High, including Version 2.31.3. Haven't yet tried version 2.32.2 with it, but I expect it will work well, too. Frame rates are about 60% of what I get on those rare occasions when I run Windows XP. With modern processors and reasonable nVidia graphics cards, that gives me perfectly adequate performance (I have to downgrade some of the graphical detail on laptops).
