you can install it, the real question is...will it run properly.

Ahhh but he didnt ask that, and why I added a little smiley.....

You are correct though,if he has less than a gig of ram, which might be "lots" on an XP machine, he may have problems.

That said I thought I was correct with my answer...... :devil

7 years old components are just waiting to go boom. Getting Windows 7 is fine now that it's still available, but installing it to the old computer won't necessarily work. Win7 64 will work with as little as 2 GB of RAM, 4 being the minimum for fluent computing and 8 being the sweet spot. Your motherboard may not even support installing more than 4... You'd only be building bottlenecks by installing it. Stick with XP as long as the hardware lasts or you're happy with the performance, then get a totally new rig for the next seven years.

You must forgive me for my multiword input. You see, I'm a Finn and aren't we worldwide famous for our communication skills and small talkativeness? Here's something I just found and agree with. On the General board there's an invitation...

No, the most suicides are made in spring, around May. I don't know if it's some kind of an inherent protest against having to work again after the long winter in the form of spring sowing in the agricultural society.

You didn't read to the end, did you?

Once you start talking to them(=the Finns), about something really worth talking about, you’ll get all the mangled and badly pronounced conversation you want.

I thought I read through it all except the comments left at the bottom!  I guess I missed that little quip.... :rofl

My cousin married a beautiful finn girl and whenever the family gets together the rope comment seems to come up,while it is funny the reality of it isnt!  She is a vey quiet girl unless you find something she's interested in.

The real problem is the Canadian would likely start talking about the weather or hockey......... :furious

Working in a Finnish-Swedish company (Tieto) with English as corporate language, our phone-meetings often ends up with miss-handling the English to a degree a narrative English speaker probably would laugh to tears listening to some conversations.   :lol

Also work cultures are very apart from each other.

"If you are a foreigner — not a Finn, that is — you probably know all about small talk."

"Well, if you come to Finland (or worse still, are already here) you should know about the Finnish equivalent: the no-talk."
