 :salute  cool thing is being a marine i have goton to meet several nationalities of soldiers and marines including austrailains hungarians wat i think was some middle eastern soldiers, a couple from nigeria or somewhere in africa and some royal marines. its humbling when they call us baddass and toejam. and even more when it come from veterans of Vietnam Korea ww2 and the gulf wars

The really sad part is.....as I was coming out a woman was taking her kids up the steps into the monument and I heard her say "In here they've written the names of all the people who were killed in the war."

I corrected her.

The pictures didn't come out very well but there's 2 short wings that come off the main cloister, the southern wing contains mainly ANZAC air crew and the ceiling of the cul-de-sac is painted with a star field containing the southern cross.  The northern wing contains mainly Canadian air crew and the ceiling is painted with the star field containing the north star, etc.
