Wish granted, the P-39 with a 20mm hispano is a P-400, just take an olive drab skin and you are good to go.

/actually liked flying the P-39 with a 20mm, one scenario I shot down 9 Zeroes with it, the ammo is pretty nice, I gambled from the 37mm - I simply couldn't hit crap with it and figured the 20mm would help me better on snap shots and it worked out.
//it was a scenario about Lae, the Zeros had to scramble and the P-39s strafe down the airfield, however most of us were gunning to see how many zeroes we could kill, it was a pretty nice air battle.

Agreed, the P-39D with the 20mm in the hub is a pretty fun little machine.

The link you posted says the 352nd FG was flying P-400s out of Italy in 1944….makes me wonder about it's accuracy.

   Yes I saw that and was..     However it doesnt change the fact that a 20mm armed P39d is the same as a P400.

   It was the first site google popped up for the P400 and when I saw it stated the P39D-1 and-2 were converted to P400's  it would be all that was needed.




    Oh and I'm not all that fond of #9 by the beatles but since the OP linked a goofy Hitler vid with him saying nothing but NIEN,I thought it would be humourous.


   But you can educate me on the beatles anytime there 442!
