Who has been to Costa Rica?
« on: April 21, 2015, 05:28:05 AM »
Im right on the verge of pulling the plug on a trip in the second half of May. I know its kinda the start of the rainy season but it was the only time my kid could get leave. I had a travel agent put together a package for me for a 9 day trip. Its not cheap, with air fare Im looking at about $8,500 to start.

Is the place worth it? Who has been there? Thanks.

Bahamas i think is better, If you are single I suggest go on a all Single cruise...that'll  be fun but not sure if they have an all singles cruise lol......screw the all single cruise thing, you might end up cruising with a bunch of dudes......But truly Bahamas is fun..... Take the cruise......Tons of girls man, even when you get there you meet girls from all over the world on vacation...IF you are married then forget bahamas....I suggest you stay here in the US and go out to dinner with your wife.....because going on cruises with ur wife you might just get in trouble for even looking at the waitress LMAO.

My brother went to Costa Rica.  He stayed at the capital.  They said do not go out at night and do not travel alone.  So it's quite dangerous.
Currently ignoring Vraciu as he is a whoopeeed retard.

I worked 5 years at sea  for Princess Cruises , we used to stop in Limon on Caribbean  side and Puerto Caldera/Puntarenas on Pacific; never been impressed, this was "94 to "99 ,maybe is different , but I didn't go far inland: been in Bermuda also,  and can't even compare this 2; Bermuda is high class, clean, expenssive, green ,fresh cooler air not sticky carribean island; but the traffic on the left sux, I rented a bike /scooter and returned it quick, I could get used with HOing traffic.

Dont go to the capital city. It is like any other big city. We stayed inear Liberia on the coast. It is very safe. You can go on an rv run for the day, go to the beach, or go up in the canopy and zip line. That is a hoot. The general population speaks English and Spanish which allows you to visit with anyone. They dont have an army and spend the money on schools instead. You have to complete high school by law and a large percentage go to college. You dont see any poverty like other counties in latin america. I noticed in the small towns the police do not carry weapons. There is allot to do for tourists. I give Costa Rica a  :aok

Here's to hoping you catch a few Rooster's and some big Jacks. If you get into any yellowfin, hopefully you've been doing curls.
