so i had a new PC built but he screwed me on a video card but anyway here is the specs to this $1300 PC

$209.99 - i dont really wanna spend any more then that at this time i could i guess but i dont want to

I just put the MSI version of the 960sc in my wife's computer and set her up with an ASUS 27" monitor.  She is well pleased and is playing Ghost and COD Advanced Warfare with everything turned on.

I don't quote speeds and bits and bytes.  But when mama is happy...

Please post the name/model of your PSU, maybe he screwed you with the PSU as well and put in a very cheap PSU which is often barely able to supply 50% of its claimed power.

the last machine I built which is the one im running on now, was probably about 1600 by the time I was done. that was 6 years ago. yours seems pretty decent, maybe light on Ram, but not by much. an 850w PS would be sufficient for most setups.

he did screw me on the power supplie once the card got here i opened my case and same he only put a ATX 550 watt supplie in there so i got my receipt and saw i payed for a 800 watt power supplie and thats what i told him i wanted so i called him and he told me he would look at his copy of the receipt and call me back in 20 minutes no call back i waited 1 hour called back and he was not able to take my call so i hung up and waited 45 minutes called back flipped on him because by this time i tried to be nice and he was clearly trying to avoid me needless to say i have a 800 wat power supplie IB my way so i checked everything to make sure i got what i payed for everything was ok other then the power supplie and he only put a GT 9300 video card in it but hopeful this week sometime ill have my GTX 960 in there <<S>> guys sorry for way late reply thanks for help

Next time ask for forum advice for the computer setup. For example you paid hundreds of dollars for nothing if you use the computer only for gaming. The i7 cpu is extremely bad value for money unless you also do CAD/graphics work on the computer.

If you check my 'cheap computer' thread, that computer is actually as fast or faster with games for only 750 bucks.

only a few games use all core's of the I7.
those few games will benefit from the extra cores though.

I7 is also good for some photo/video processing programs, not all though.

so he ordered me a ATX 800 watt power supply he has it but it has a 8 pin connector for the motherboard my motherboard is a MSI no clue what model but it has a 6 pin what addaptor do i need to go from 8 pin to 6 pin can someone help me please

Check if the connector can be split, those I've seen have been adaptable to various pin counts.

well i went to bestbuy and none of the pins looked just right there was an 8 to 6 pin but the mettle pins looked slightly differnt so i took the PC to town to him and we ordered another 800 watt supply made by ATX it will be here friday Thank you for the reply bizman <<S>> sir
