I'd move after firing.

No air on the moon so starting your engine might be a problem. You'd have to get out and push.  :D

a tank can killshoot itself on earth by firing a sabot round almost straight up, watch it fly waaaayyy up there and come back on its head.

True story.

Really. Please explain how they got the tube true vertical and then also compensated for coriolis effect not to mention upper wind drift. I tend to doubt that at terminal velocity a sabot projectile would penetrate the thin roof armor, again how did the tank got from on end to fire vertically to horizontal to present the roof to the incoming round?
DEFINITION OF A VETERAN
A Veteran - whether active duty, retired, national guard or reserve - is someone who, at one point in their life, wrote a check made payable to "The United States of America", for an amount of "up to and including my life."

it can easily be done.  just like shooting a round in the moon will kill your tank.
