Why can't you use the f3 and f4 views when driving a vehicle or a boat?

It used to be possible in earlier versions and can be done offline, but online, they have disabled external views.

I'm having a hard time understanding that too.  The excuse goes that if you're in a bomber with 10 men you can virtually see anywhere and if you're in a GV you can't see out.  That may be relatively true.  BUT, if your manning the external gun of a GV you should also have a 360 degree view.  Same is true for the PT boat where in fact ALL positions are external.  The logic is just plain inconsistent.

I don't see the problem with the GV views. Sorry.   :)  When manning a gun on the vehicles I still have the same views I would have in a fighter. Left/right/back...up 45 degrees etc. If you mean the "observer" view from 400 yards away and above, then no...it is no longer in the game.   :)

It was done for gameplay reasons. At least there is not any such excuse as you state from HTC ever (or at least I never heard/read such statments from them). Now gv's are harder and actually more fun to ride. It also possible to sneak at the base which has a panzers defence.

BTW at beta AH had in MA an external views for planes too! Hard to believe, but it was that way. Anyone want it back?  :) (I am sure some does, but not majority).
