I did a quick search to make that this is not a dup. It does not appear to be.
This is my first install of AH3.
Used full 7.1 package.
Found out real quick that I am going to have to upgrade my Windows 7 Professional to Win 64 (pain in u know what, but whatever). (Hardware - so looks good I guess).
Install issue was this (under win 7 pro - assume will be same under win 64):
Normally with other installs (since I run the PC with a regular User account) I provide permission to the install program to run by keying in Admin user name and password. I do not think that it has ever failed to work for me, until Alpha AH3 7.1.
Program got installed but it didn't put a shortcut icon on the Regular User desktop and I couldn't find any AH3 directory or files.
Login with Admin account, the short cut was there on the desktop and I could see the directory.
When I go 64 bit, I will see if same occurs.
Again, minor issue.
