I actually bought a 1/32 Eduard resin kit of B-17G defensive armaments for a wooden B-17 i'm working on. I do old-school frame/balsa skin airplanes. The finish work gets pretty elaborate. A recent 109G, for example, had some 18 different finish layers, from sanding sealer to decal fixer.

In any case, their resin 50 cals, complete with photo-etched brass details, were little works of art.

As for that Czech girl, I've got a bumpy 109G that would like to fly low over her dewy meadow.

Some say revenge is a dish best served cold. I say it's usually best served hot, chunky, and foaming. Eventually, you will all die in my vengeance vomit firestorm.

I've gotten the itch to build something for the first time in years. Decided on a 1/48 scale P-38J. Shocking I know! Been slowly acquiring detail parts as I intend doing an over the top job of it once I get rolling.

Currently waiting on a wheel well detail set. I already have metal landing gear and resin wheels. A couple of different cockpits, intakes, superchargers, engine, gun bay, etc. A couple of things I'd love to have are a KMC flaps kit and Verlinden super detail set but both are out of production and damned rare.

Eduard makes some great stuff. Their detailed kits, based on the Academy kits of the 38s, are also out of production but come available on eBay from time to time. They get crazy expensive tho, going for either side of a hundred bucks. I'll probably have that much wrapped up in parts by the time I'm thru anyway!

I did manage to steal a couple of kits cheap on Ebay. My Hasegawa only cost me $11. The Academy $18. They'll both get nearer 50 or more generally.

Too bad they botched the 109G though, way too big for it's scale.
