Meh.. the only way this will cause traffic jams to go away is if everybody who bought one moved their residence close enough to work to be able to fly there on the machine's range, .. at which point, they'd realize it was close enough to just walk.

If the range problem is figured out, then the next roadblock will be all the wreckage from collisions of folks who cross infinite planes of variation, not just the 2 they have trouble navigating today.  How many people bother to use their turn signals?

Imagine the fun of adding in tilt, elevation, direction, orientation indicators?      :bolt:  These folks who've proven time and again, they can't keep a car in between a set of lines..

If these things ever become common, I'm driving a tank.

What's with the cockpit?... Can't see out of it.
There must also be a flyable computer available for Nefarious to do FSO. So he doesn't keep talking about it for eight and a half hours on Friday night!

I think it will just move the traffic jams to the hospitals.

And they say the sun has set on the british aerospace industry..

His choice to pilot in his boxers was a weight consideration I'm sure. Still I'm slightly disappointed he chose to forego sock garters.

It will be a spectacular crash though. Fifty tiny lethal helicopters going everywhere.

"Slightly" refined version... :)

A practical application of this type of vehicle isn't a big challenge at all compared to the infrastructure/technology and legislation to facilitate operation of huge numbers of these type of vehicles safely near big population centers.
