Color Bleeding - Any Tricks to Stop it?
« on: January 18, 2016, 12:51:04 PM »
I have tried changing the colors on the panel lines but it still seems that the skin viewer is forcing some bleeding of the yellow into the gray.

Can this be avoided or is it another nature of the beast thing?

Could it be "overspray" on the part in the layer you are painting on? Maybe just try painting to the edge, and not farther. Just an idea.

The panel lines are solid in color.   So they are Yellow _______________><_________________ Gray with no overlap.    It is only in the viewer.   The BMP is perfect...     :headscratch:

That just happens. You could try erasing the rearmost column of yellow pixels. The bleed is taken from whatever color is in that location.

It stops the panel line and actually looks worse.  :(

Okay, well, if it can't be helped I will live with it.  Thanks a lot.    :salute

I've always assumed this sort of bleeding is to do with the viewer changing the bmp into the compressed "res" format that is read by the game. It is most noticeable with bright colours like red or yellow against dull backgrounds.
