The term HOicane is not ment to critisize the plane or its pilots. It seems that HOicanes are most used for base defence and their most common tactic is the HO. I don't have a problem with this. The plane is ideally suited for breaking a vulch in this method.
It gets up quick, turns well, has a short but deadly clip, and live or die, is most likely to take an enemy vulch plane down when the vulch pilot underestimates its ability to turn a vunerable position into a HO where it has the Hispano advantage.
I have been using the A6M in the same manner for quite some time;
Get up, turn to HO a vulcher, die in a mutual death, repeat untill the area has been sanitized. I think the HOicane, however, may be/become the ideal base defender. Prolly time to leave my trusty Zeke in the hanger and trade it in for a you-know-what.
<S> to the HOicane and its pilots.
