You can have the smallest RCS in the world, but as soon as you start hanging ordnance and pylons on every conceivable spot on the aircraft, you are visible hundreds of miles away. 

I saw one article that said that each pylon is equal to 1m^2 of RCS.
Currently ignoring Vraciu as he is a whoopeeed retard.

But it's the same old debate, LM and supporters of F-35 claims that stealth is the only relevant feature of a fighter while others Like Boeing, SAAB, etc claims that there are ways to counter stealth. We don't know the right answer yet and for now it does not matter either, F-35, Gripen, Rafales etc is all on the same side.

I think stealth has a of advantages, but it also has a lot of weaknesses (such as targeting of awacs and or refueling capabilities). There seems to be a group of people that are willing to overlook any shortcomings to achieve stealth.

They only have to be stealthy over enemy territory plus a bit more.

Most "enemy territory" is measured in far less than many plane's internal fuel.
